The Papakura & Districts Historical Society (PDHS) was founded in 1962; ten years later Papakura's first museum (pictured) was opened.

To celebrate the milestone of 50 Years we are exhibiting some of the many items that have been donated to the museum since 1962 (when the Society first began). Items that perhaps have not been seen for a while.

We are also telling the story of the PDHS and their battle to establish a museum; firstly in East Street, then in the old fire station on Averill Street, before moving to the Accent Point Building, initially on Level 4, and in late 2010 to where we are now, on Level 3.
